A group of amateur cave explorers discovered a river in Mexico with banks, trees and leaves just like an ordinary river, but with an additional metric shit ton of “WTF,” because they were hovering 25 feet over it in scuba gear when they discovered it.

While underwater water doesn’t seem possible, the “river” is actually a briny mix of salt water and hydrogen sulfide. It’s much more dense than regular salt water, so it sinks to the bottom and forms a distinct separation that acts and flows like a river.

Deep sea lakes look like normal lakes, complete with sandy and rocky shores. Scientist call these lakes “cold seeps,” but they’re a hotbed for life, because apparently waterfront real estate is a hot commodity under water, too. The “rocky” shores are actually made up of hundreds of thousands of mussels. Even weirder, the lakes under the waves have waves of their own.

Does roleplaying = having sex ?

Sometimes I ask myself some really strange questions. Like this one.

I’ve been rping with a friend for a long time now, each of us playing one person from our OTP. And of course, through kisses and cuddles and all that, they have a lot and a lot of depraved sex. They ? Or we ? Aren’t we becoming our characters while rping and therefore living what we write for them ? 

It’s not like reading fanfiction. You’re not alone in front of your computer, reading lines of words that were written weeks ago. It’s now. You’re exchanging with someone your point of view, your desires, your feelings. You wait for their responses and you get excited when you can finally read them. But it’s not a cool story about princesses or a police case or high schools teen or whatever, it’s porn ! You’re, we’re putting our needs of intimacy in front of someone else and ask them to fill it. With words yes, but where exactly can we spot the difference between imagining a world for our characters and reality ? When you write with your heart, cry with your character, feel for them, how could you be sure that you’re not writring yourself ?
